Growing up, golf was my sport. If I'm being honest, I was wildly interested in the mechanics or the golf swing, how to improve it, and how to use those improvements to play a better game. This eventually morphed into a desire to help others to play better golf. After a long stint teaching the game of golf, I wanted to start trying to get healthier.
I started running. Then I incorporated some biking. Then one day a friend talked me into going to try to swim.
Immediately with triathlon, that same desire to learn and improve was present. After just a few years in the sport, that same drive to help others started to build.
Now with more than 10 years and 75+ endurance races, the desire and drive to make a commitment to coaching became full-blown...and thus, Merge Multisport was born.
At Merge Multisport we believe sport should compliment and enhance our life. Sport is part of who we are, but it isn't all that we are.
Incorporating sport into your life in a way that leads to athletic improvements is certainly a driver for many of the coaching decisions we make, but ultimately our real driving factor is to make sport a balanced and sustainable aspect of your life.
That's where true, long lasting progress and enjoyment come from!
